Julie Chen Moonves hosted the famous summer reality series Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been The Talk's first hosts, hosting and moderating the talk show from 2010 until the year 2018. In the year she began writing that her true passion began to emerge. Hosting an outstanding entertainment talk show won her a second Emmy. The Talk is a show that examines current events through five female hosts. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 and 2010 before becoming host of the talk show. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11, and she conducted an intimate and fascinating discussion with the father who was the main hijacker. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers like the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Queen Rania of Jordan, the former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program, profiling celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves was an anchor and reporter at WCBS-TV, the CBS-owned station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN TV Dayton (1995-1997). While completing her last academic year at the university, she worked as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) as well as the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). This was her first broadcasting job as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont documentary Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
